THREE AAU LECTURES ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY ENGAGING IN CULTISM AND POSSESSION OF FIREARMS

The Edo State Police Command said it has arrested some lecturers of the Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, for allegedly engaging in cult-related activities.

The Commissioner of Police, Haliru Gwandu, who disclosed this to journalists in Benin, on Monday, added that several firearms were recovered from the arrested academics.

Gwandu ‎also said that among those arrested was a professor, from whom a double-barrelled gun, single-barrelled gun and one pump action gun were allegedly recovered. “The professor was arrested. He was granted bail. The case is under investigation,” he said.

The commissioner expressed displeasure over the high rate of cultism around the institution located in Esan West LGA, which he said had claimed many lives.

BOKO HARAM INFECTED ME WITH HIV, FORCED ME TO HAVE MARATHON SEX WITH SECT MEMBERS – 15YRS EX-WIFE OF FACTIONAL LEADER

Fatima Kabir, a 15-year-old ex-wife of the factional leader of Boko Haram, Maman Nur, said she was infected with HIV/AIDS after she was forced to have marathon sex with many sect members at the group’s Sigil Huda camp, Sambisa Forest.

Kabir and her 14-year-old accomplice, Amina Shua’ibu were arrested by officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Borno State command on Friday night.

At the time of her arrest, she was also discovered to be two months pregnant for a sect member. Kabir told The Nation that she was introduced to the group by her brother, Ibrahim Fadagana, in 2013.

“I was married to Mamman Nur in 2013. I was 12 years old at the period. On the wedding night, Mamman Nur forced himself into me and destroyed my vagina. He infected me with Vesico Vaginal Fistulae (VVF). I was sick for a while, but I became better.

EFCC OPREATIVES SEARCH FLATS BELONGING TO PETER OBI AND OTHERS OVER N13bn FOUND IN IKOYI FLAT

TWO COMMUNITY YOUTH LEADERS SHOT DEAD IN IMO STATE

This was a sad day for the people of Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, as unidentified gunmen numbering about four on Monday, killed two young men in .

KENYA WOMAN STRANGLED BY HER YOUNG LOVER, BODY STUFFED IN FRIDGE

Irene Kananu, a HR officer was strangled to death by her 25-year-old college student lover, Abdulkarim Njoroge in Kahawa Wendani, Kiambu, Kenya on March 31.
